Camps are small with a delightful ratio of campers to guides!

Youth Camp–  A lively naturalist camp. Campers are engaged with conservation efforts, farm experiences, natural history and herbal studies, archery, yoga, fun meal preps, nature art and journaling. Each afternoon campers spend quiet time with the earth during siesta, and evenings are filled with traditional dance and singing, stories, and campfires.

Teen CampBase camp will be at Wind Dance with three day outings to hike West Virginia mountains, paddle the waters, participate in a conservation service project, and assist with fun making meals and morning farm routines.  Each afternoon campers spend quiet time with the earth during siesta, and evenings are filled with traditional dance and singing, stories, and campfires.    

Farm Stewards – Experience farm life and sustainable farm methods, assist fun cooks,  food preservation activities, enjoy outdoor adventures, participate in a  conservation service project, a construction service project.  Each afternoon campers spend quiet time with the earth during siesta, and evenings are filled with traditional dance and singing, stories, and campfires.

In addition to John Devine and Leslie Devine Milbourne, there are two full time guides, as well as local guests teaching specialty crafts and skills. 

Wind Dance Farm is nine miles from the Town of Bath, Berkeley Springs.  Berkeley Springs is a historic area  – known for its warm mineral springs, State Parks, massage therapists, small town ambience, and surrounding mountains offering a variety of outdoor activities.  It is a vacation get-a-way for many people.  Consider exploring the area when your child is at camp!

Leslie and John have worked together at camps for over 25 years. In addition to the camps, they manage Wind Dance Farm CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), and oversee homeschool & school programs during the school year. John is a traditional musician playing guitar and singing. Leslie is an environmental educator, M.Ed. They live in a log cabin tucked in the hills. Wind Dance Farm is located approximately a 2 hour drive from the Washington DC/Baltimore area and 4 hours from the Philadelphia area.

Camp Fees

Camps are $600, plus a registration fee $25 & administration fee $25.

Total camp fee is $650.

The non-refundable registration fee of $25.00 is due upon registration.

Camp & Administration fee of $625 is due two weeks before camp.

Donations!  We work at keeping camp fees at a minimum, as well as provide high quality programs, activities, food and staff, producing and purchase a lot of organic food. Donations, which are tax exempt, will be used to support earth and farm educational programs.  Contributions can be made during registration or at camp. Thank you!
